Ingredients
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice (about ½ lemon)
½ to 1 tsp grated ginger
½ to 1 tsp raw honey
1 cup (8 oz) warm filtered water
Optional Add-ins:
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar (with the “mother”)
¼ tsp ground turmeric
A pinch of cayenne pepper
1 chamomile or peppermint tea bag (night version)
Instructions
In a mug or glass, add lemon juice, grated ginger, and raw honey.
Pour in warm (not boiling) filtered water and stir until fully mixed.
For enhanced benefits, add apple cider vinegar or other optional ingredients.
Drink immediately on an empty stomach in the morning or 15–20 minutes before meals.
For a calming night version, steep chamomile tea first, then stir in ginger and lemon.
Notes
Always use warm (not boiling) water to preserve the enzymes in honey and vitamin C in lemon.
Rinse your mouth with plain water after drinking, especially if using ACV, to protect tooth enamel.
Store ginger in the freezer to make daily prep faster.
You can batch-prep the dry mix (turmeric, cayenne) in advance for quicker morning routines.
