Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

  • 100 g cake flour
  • 20 g cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 150 g sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 100 ml milk
  • 50 g unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease and flour a cake tin.
  2. Sift together the cake flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Beat the sugar and eggs together in another bowl until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract to the egg mixture and mix well.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake tin and smooth the top.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let it cool in the tin for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Serve with whipped cream, chocolate ganache, or ice cream for added flavor.
